Delivering with China's Supply Chain:

PCK Attends TotalEnergies China Suppliers Day 2026

China Suppliers Day 2026, Jing An Shangri-La, Shanghai

On 12 June 2026, TotalEnergies held its China Suppliers Day 2026 at the Jing An Shangri-La in Shanghai. Themed “Delivering with China's Supply Chain”, the conference brought together TotalEnergies' global executive team and key supplier representatives from across China to explore new opportunities for cooperation across the energy supply chain. As a key Chinese line pipe supplier to TotalEnergies, Chu Kong Steel Pipe Group (PCK) was invited to the event, represented by Chairman of the Board Chen Chang and Deputy General Manager Li Yile.

TotalEnergies attended at the very highest level: Stéphane Cambier, President of Global Procurement; Yongjian Yu, China Country Chair and Managing Director; Anne-Gaëlle Moysan, Vice President of Projects & Equipment Procurement; Jean-Marc Durand, Senior Vice President of OneTech Technical Lines; Jean-Hervé Morard, Vice President of Projects at OneTech; Bruno Pahlawan, Vice President of Technology; and Rémi Bourgeois, Vice President and Director of the Power Technical Line at OneTech. As the invitation put it, the event offered suppliers a rare opportunity to engage face to face with the senior decision-makers shaping TotalEnergies' equipment, project and energy-transition strategies.

A Two-Pillar Strategy Geared for Growth

The conference opened with a welcome address by Yongjian Yu. Stéphane Cambier then set out the Group's strategy: anchored in the two pillars of Oil & Gas and Integrated Power, TotalEnergies aims to grow its energy production by around 4% per year through 2030 — including oil and gas production growth of more than 3% per year and electricity output exceeding 100 TWh by 2030 — supported by capital expenditure of approximately US$16 billion in 2026.

The global project map presented at the conference was equally striking: a portfolio of world-class projects is advancing at pace, from Tilenga in Uganda and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) to Ratawi in Iraq, Venus and Mopane in Namibia, NFE in Qatar and Mozambique LNG, with roughly 95% of the targeted new oil and gas capacity already on stream or under development. Jean-Marc Durand then unveiled the TotalEnergies technology roadmap, covering six strategic research and technology programmes in areas such as sustainability, the digital factory and integrated power modelling, alongside a US$1 billion investment in large-scale artificial intelligence deployment from 2026 to 2028.

Streamlined Qualification, Shared Value

For suppliers, the conference carried encouraging signals. Bruno Pahlawan and Jean-Hervé Morard presented the streamlined supplier technical qualification process and the new project Approved Vendor List (AVL) framework: the validity of technical qualifications has been extended from five to ten years, and qualification now focuses on critical equipment and is value-driven — designed to accelerate project schedules, reduce costs and open the door wider to capable Chinese suppliers seeking a role in global projects.

To date, TotalEnergies has qualified around 160 Chinese suppliers, with a further 24 in the qualification process. In the overview of key Chinese suppliers presented at the conference, PCK was featured as a key line pipe supplier, credited with the Tilenga and EACOP projects — a powerful endorsement of PCK's manufacturing strength and delivery record.

PCK on the Global Stage: EACOP and Beyond

During the conference, Chairman Chen Chang and Deputy General Manager Li Yile held in-depth discussions with TotalEnergies executives and partners from around the world, exchanging views on project cooperation, technical collaboration and supply chain development, and welcomed TotalEnergies' continued commitment to deepening cooperation with Chinese suppliers.

The partnership between PCK and TotalEnergies has already produced a landmark chapter. In April 2023, PCK won the contract to supply the entire line pipe for the EACOP project — approximately 260,000 tonnes for the 1,443-kilometre pipeline, the world's longest heated crude oil pipeline and TotalEnergies' first large-volume, sole-source pipe procurement in China. Over the following two years, sixteen consignments of pipe left Xuwei Port in Lianyungang on schedule and to specification, with zero delivery delays, and the project was successfully completed in August 2025.

In November 2024, PCK was invited to TotalEnergies' annual global Suppliers Day in Paris, where it was one of only four suppliers asked to share its experience on stage, bringing the “PCK solution” to a global audience. In January 2026, a delegation led by EACOP President Guillaume Dulout visited Lianyungang to celebrate the successful completion of the project with the Group and to discuss deepening future cooperation.

Moving Forward Together

From the successful delivery of EACOP, to the experience-sharing in Paris, to this latest gathering in Shanghai, PCK's global footprint continues to grow ever more solid. Building on the momentum of this conference, PCK will deepen its strategic collaboration with TotalEnergies and other international energy majors, continue to serve global energy infrastructure with proven manufacturing excellence, and carry the PCK brand to an ever-larger international stage.
