In October 2023, Panyu Chu Kong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. (PCK) successfully completed its first delivery of line pipes to the EACOP Project.
Spearheaded by TotalEnergies as the main shareholder, the EACOP (East African Crude Oil Pipeline) total length is 1,540 kilometers, making it the world's longest heated crude oil pipeline.
This significant infrastructure connects the Lake Albert oil fields in Uganda's Hoima region to a newly constructed port north of Tanga in Tanzania. The new port, with a peak capacity of 246,000 barrels per day, is poised for its inaugural export shipment in March 2025. Once operational, the EACOP Project is anticipated to significantly contribute to the economic growth of the region.
