On May 4, 2021, PCK Zhuhai Base's newly invested steel structure Line C was successfully installed and commissioned in the North Composite Pipe Plant. The General Manager of Zhuhai Base, along with all the production backbones of the base, participated in and presided over the operation and commissioning ceremony of the newly invested steel structure C line.
The newly invested steel structure line C can produce products for the application range of ø610~ø1372 steel pipe coiling, joining length; ø610~ø1372 large and small mouth (cone pipe) pressing and coiling into shape. Line C is estimated to have a production capacity of 240 sections of cone pipe and 2,400 tons of straight pipe per month. Upon the commencement of Line C production, the equipment will be utilized to fulfill production orders of approximately 600 tons of stretched pipes for the Hong Kong LNG project.
The Zhuhai base is responsible for taking over the structural pipe coiling and lengthening service for BD1 and BD2 blocks of the Hong Kong LNG project receiving station. The total volume of coiled pipe for BD1 and BD2 blocks is approximately 1,472 tons, with about 947 tons for the AB line and 525 tons for the C line. The C line is mainly for 508mm and 610mm diameter steel pipe products, and the expected delivery date for production is the second half of June.
During the implementation of the C line, the company leadership prioritizes providing comprehensive equipment safety operation skills training to technical personnel, company maintenance engineers, and production management personnel. They jointly organize and carry out training on new equipment, technology, and techniques to deepen staff mastery of the new input equipment. This ensures safe and efficient production while allowing the equipment to play its due role. To ensure safe production and guarantee efficient equipment performance.
The general manager of Zhuhai base stated that the base ministries will strive to enhance production capabilities, achieve breakthroughs in independent research and development, attract talent, and foster collaboration between industry, academia, and research.
