The Anowara-Fouzdarhat gas pipeline is operated by GTCL, a subsidiary of Petrobangla.
Gypsum-Gasmin JV was scheduled to begin construction of the pipeline in April 2016 and to complete it by December 2017, however the company failed to meet several deadlines, which has caused a number of project delays. For example, in October 2018, it was reported that construction had been delayed due to a delay in drilling under the Karnaphruli River. On November 21, 2018, it was reported that GTCL was carrying out test operations of the Anowara-Fouzdarhat gas transmission pipeline to initiate commercial operation within a week's time. In January 2019 it was reported that construction would continue through at least August 2019. The pipeline was completed in January 2020.
