The project is operated by Ras Laffan Petrochemicals, a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical (hereinafter referred to as "Chevron") and Qatar Energy. Located in Ras Laffan, Qatar (21°28′N,039°10′E#), the $6 billion project features an ethane cracker with a capacity of up to 2.1 million tonnes of ethylene per year. The delivered LSAW pipe diameter is 610mm, wall thickness is 11.7mm and 9.5mm respectively, with external double epoxy anti-corrosion technology. The length of the pipeline is 14.5KM, weighing 2,230 KM. According to Qatar Energy, this will be the largest ethylene project in the Middle East and one of the largest ethylene projects in the world.
