PCK has successfully put into use a large-scale gantry crane

After the rain, the blue sky and white clouds were a beautiful sight, accompanied by a series of loud firecrackers ringing through the sky. At 10:18 a.m. on May 26, 2021, Panyu Chu Kong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. invested more than 20 million yuan in two gantry cranes, one weighing 150 tons and the other 50 tons. These are the first and largest gantry cranes in the city of Zhuhai.

Chen Chang, the Chairman of the Group Board of Directors, along with Chen Guoxiong, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, personally attended the pier's commissioning ceremony and lighting of firecrackers. Chen expressed his emotions, stating that the successful use of our company's 150+50 tons of gantry cranes marks our enterprise's liberation from the burden of history and paves the way towards prosperity and strength. With the new gantry crane, we can now take on more steel pipe orders, making our business more prosperous. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff for their hard work. The gantry crane, manufactured by Weihua, has a main hook rated lifting capacity of 150 tons and a secondary hook rated lifting capacity of 50 tons, with a hook distance of 1.5 meters. The gantry cranes in Zhuhai have a large and small hook lifting height of 25 meters above the rail and 10 meters below the rail. The overall span is 55 meters, with a 9.5-meter cantilever. The hook can lift 50 tons up to 5 meters outside the cantilever. The two gantry cranes have a total lifting capacity of 300 tons, making them the strongest combination of gantry cranes in Zhuhai at present. 

The leadership at the Zhuhai base places great importance on the installation and commissioning of gantry crane equipment. They strictly require that personnel arrangements and safety measures are done well in every step. The equipment department and manufacturer collaborate to complete the installation and commissioning work. They thoroughly discuss and study the installation and commissioning program, and propose corresponding optimization programs for different situations. The installation department staff persevered through hot weather and successfully completed the gantry crane installation and commissioning. This ensured that the equipment could be put into production as soon as possible. They also provided assistance to the department staff on site. Their dedication and hard work are greatly appreciated.

The PCK Zhuhai base has significantly improved its lifting capacity by putting two 150-ton and one 50-ton gantry cranes into use. This will help overcome production bottlenecks and facilitate the manufacturing of larger and heavier steel pipes. Additionally, it will provide a strong foundation for the development of new energy, offshore wind power, sea ranch, and other advanced equipment outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan. The deep blue market shows great promise for the future.
