On March 2, 2018, the Yacheng 13-1 Pipeline Gaolan Branch Implementation Project officially began construction. Kong Wei, General Manager of Panyu Chu Kong Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., was invited to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony.

The project is a sub-project of CNOOC's South China Sea gas field development, which involves constructing a 25-kilometer, 24-inch sea pipeline branch line connecting Yacheng 13-1's sea pipeline to Hong Kong Terminal and Gaolan Terminal. PCK Zhuhai is providing steel pipes for the project.

The natural gas produced from the Yacheng 13-1 gas field is transported to Hong Kong through the 778-kilometer subsea pipeline from the already constructed AWA platform. The Yacheng 13-1 Subsea Pipeline Gaolan Branch Project involves opening a borehole at Point KP694 of the subsea pipeline from Yacheng 13-1 AWA Platform to Hong Kong, which is 694 kilometers away from the Yacheng 13-1 AWA Platform. The pressure-carrying borehole has already been completed. After that, a branch pipeline, approximately 25 kilometers in length, will be connected to Gaolan Terminal of Gaolan Harbor District through a subsea mechanical tee. After the project is operational, it can create a marine natural gas transmission pipeline network that connects Liwan gas field, Dongfang 1-1 gas field, Dongfang 13-2 gas field, Ledong gas field, Yacheng gas field, Wenchang gas field, as well as Dongfang Terminal and Hongkong Terminal. The Zhuhai Gaolan Terminal is strategically located on the east and west sides of the South China Sea. This allows for flexible integration and deployment towards the natural gas direction of the South China Sea gas fields, enabling efficient utilization of the region's natural gas resources.

Currently, the acceleration of ocean economy development is a major trend in China. PCK will leverage the development of the South China Sea natural gas group, with a focus on science and technology innovation as a core competitive advantage. We will seize the opportunity to accelerate research, development, and production of marine equipment support products, thereby contributing to the growth of China's marine equipment industry.
